Jen Krimm is a senior/executive-level professional who has spent her career strengthening democracy, preventing terrorism, and promoting US values and US policy objectives at home and abroad. Through a mix of government, nonprofit, and private sector roles, she has specialized experience in strategy, partnerships, policy development/advice, security, training, strategic communications, and leadership/management in the US and nearly 20 countries. Jen is a current member of the American Association of Political Consultants.
Jen is currently a senior-level consultant and was most recently the Senior Transition Advisor for USAID's Office of Transition Initiatives (OTI) bullpen (2023-2025). From 2020-2022 she served as the Senior Stabilization Advisor and Donor Outreach Specialist for USAID/Yemen (XLA ISC). From 2011-2020, Jen was a senior-level consultant and researcher, working primarily with US Government (USG) implementing partners (the National Democratic Institute and others) designing, managing, advising on, and/or delivering political programming–from training members of parliament in Albania, to designing political programming in Yemen, to working with local South Sudanese CSOs on peace process advocacy. From 2008-2011 she worked in senior political, policy, and communications positions in the US Congress and in American domestic politics. In addition to senior advisory and management roles, in her career she has focused on political affairs/analysis, preventing/countering violent extremism, stabilization, political transition, peace, conflict, democracy, governance, and political/strategic communications, among other technical areas. Jen has worked in nearly 20 countries, including Yemen, Iraq, Slovakia, Kosovo, Albania, Liberia, South Sudan, Nepal, Armenia, Kuwait, and Qatar, where she was a Fulbright Fellow.
She has a bachelor’s degree in Government from Dartmouth College and a master’s degree in Terrorism and Political Violence from the University of St Andrews (US equivalent: master's in Counterterrorism). Jen, her husband, and their daughter are based in both Amman, Jordan, and Lexington, Kentucky, USA.
